Kirby Krackle was the band that really began the genre known as "Nerd Rock" or "Geek Rock". I remember how blown away I was when I first heard their music, since it was the first time I'd ever really heard music that dealt with the topics that really were important to me: topics like video games and science fiction. I don't love all their songs, and I wish they would say away from the bitchy, unpleasant political topics within the geek community. However, they are who they are. I'm just glad they are still making music.
